MECS Educational Trust
As a proudly South African company, we strive to empower our fellow people, especially those who were previously disadvantaged. In light of the gender inequalities many young South Africans face, MECS has created an educational trust to assist disadvantaged women of colour in obtaining a matriculation, as well as a tertiary education.
MECS is passionate about empowering the future workforce by offering opportunities to young previously disadvantaged women who would otherwise not be able to afford an education. MECS assists wherever possible to ensure that our beneficiaries live in conditions conducive to their learning. Our goal is to ensure our beneficiaries reach their full potential by providing them with the tools necessary to build a successful future, one free of poverty and inequality.
MECS Corporate Social Responsibility
MECS supports enterprise development and believes the growth of small and medium enterprises has the potential to transform South Africa’s future through job creation.
We not only invest in the corporate playing field, but also have a corporate social responcibility programme that supports children’s homes, crèches and schools for the underprivileged.
Hearts of Hope
Hearts of Hope is a Section 21 registered non-profit organsation that is entirely donor funded and assists children affected by HIV/AIDS. I’Themba children’s home, one of the Hearts of Hope homes based in Wendywood, plans to expand in the coming years as the number of children in their care continues to grow. MECS has a long-running relationship with Hearts of Hope and enjoys the privilege of assisting with any maintenance and restoration projects needed in order to give the children the best home possible.
